Room availability and reservation information

Use the Online reservation box about half way down this page to allow you to check our room availability and to also book a room if desired. Read the polices listed here first before booking a room.

We do not have an elevator

CHECK IN: 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm CHECK OUT: Noon or earlier

LATE ARRIVALS: If you are arriving after 7:00 pm, please let us know so that we can make arrangements.

DEPOSIT: A one night or 50% deposit is required, whichever is greater. Balance due at check in.

CANCELLATIONS: Your deposit will be returned less a $30 service charge, if we are notified 14 or more days prior to arrival.

There is NO refund of deposit for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival.

CHILDREN: The Sandpiper is not suitable for Children
Well behaved children 14 and older are welcome.

PETS: We do not accept pets. There are kennels nearby.

GRATUITIES are not included.

EXTRA GUESTS: Most rooms at the Sandpiper Inn accommodate two guests. The only rooms that accommodate more than two guests are:

  • Country Bloom (22) has two queen beds and could accommodate 3 or 4 guests.
  • Santa Fe (31), Penbrooke (26) and Harveys (11) have a day bed which has a twin bed mattress. These 3 rooms can accommodate 3 guests.
There is a $35 a night additional charge plus tax for each additional guest in any room.
We do not have any roll away beds or cots available for use.

SINGLE OCCUPANCY IN ROOM: If there is only one guest staying in the room and you are staying 2 or more nights, you are eligible for a $20 per night discount. There is no discount for a one night stay.
Make sure you select 1 guest and also enter a note at the end of the reservation process indicating only one guest in the room.
NOTE The initial confirmation will not normally show the reduction, we have to do this manually, then send another confirmation. It can also be adjusted when you check in.

PARKING: The driveway of the Sandpiper Inn has parking for 8 cars. We have a total of 15 rooms. Additional spaces for overnight parking is available in the diagonal spaces on the beach side of Ocean Avenue, about 300 feet from the inn. There is no charge to park here.

Guests may park on the street in front of the inn during the day and at night as long as the car is not left there overnight.

Those guests who have more than one vehicle per room will have to park the second vehicle on the street, regardless of availability of spaces in the driveway.

The driveway parking spaces at the Sandpiper are small and will not accommodate large vehicles. Those vehicles need to park on the street.

BREAKFAST: We provide a cook to order breakfast for our guests in the restaurant seven days a week from 8:30 to 10:00 AM.

RETURNING GUESTS: If you have stayed with us at least one time since November 2005 AND if you are staying 2 nights or more then you qualify for a $10 per night discount. When you reserve the room just mention that you are a returning guest, after we verify it, we will adjust the balance due with a credit of $10 per night. The savings is $11.50 a night since you are saving the tax also. Please mention the approximate date when you stayed before and the name on the previous reservation if it is different from the current.

Remember, the returning guest discount does not apply to single night stays, this is a recent change.

Online Reservations

Use the box to the left to Check availability and/or book a room.

Reservations are realtime and normally occur quickly. This is a true online reservation system available 24 hours a day. Your credit card will be charged if you finish the reservation after checking availability. A confirmation will automatically be emailed.

SENDING A CHECK FOR THE DEPOSIT

You can send a check for deposit if you want. You need to allow enough time for the check to arrive before the beginning of the reservation. You will still need to use a valid credit card to book the reservation. There will be no charge run on the card if the check arrives in time.

If you are using a check and would like to make a reservation then call us to make a reservation, there is NO online discount.

PAYING PART OF THE BILL WITH CASH

You may always pay the balance due at check in with cash and we can offer a 5% discount for the cash payment. Please let us know in advance that you will pay in cash so we can have the bill ready.

This method may take up to 24 hours to complete AND does require a valid credit card. A $20 charge will be applied to the credit card regardless of cash, the balance can be paid in cash on arrival.

GIFT CERTIFICATES
We can accept the following gift certificates with the conditions that follow:

The gift certificate/card must still be valid. In some cases they may expire.
If you are using any gift certificate you must let us know at the time of the reservation. There may be restrictions on the use of gift certificates. If restrictions apply, then we can discuss these with you. You should have the certificate or card with you when you email or call us.

You must have the physical gift certificate with you at check in.

If the gift certificate value is greater than the amount due then we will use the amount due and the balance will be left on the gift certificate if this is possible to do. There is no refund for any unused balance.

Deposits are normally required with all reservations. A valid gift certificate may be applied to the balance due when you check in. Unused amounts on the gift certificate will be left on the certificate if that is allowed by the issuer.

If you have a gift certificate and would like to make a reservation then

  1. Call us to make a reservation, NO online discount ...OR...
  2. Click here to Check Availability and/or book a room using a gift certificate/card
    This method may take up to 24 hours to complete but does qualify for the Online discount. Please provide details of the gift certificate during the reservation in the box labeled "Special Requirements"
  3. You can email us questions about using gift certificates. (Click here to Email questions) or call us. We will provide on information on how to proceed with the reservation over the phone. Please have gift certificate handy before calling.

SINGLE OCCUPANCY
When only one guest is staying in a room there is a $30 per night discount.
